RV Business Reports that The National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) Report Forecasts 53,000 Additional Campsites in 2021. Read the article here.

We asked what that means for you. Will you be doing anything differently this year?

Who responded to the survey?

96% of you already own an RV, 2% are in the market for your first.

How do you use your RV?

  • 44% of you are part-timers (out in the RV most weekends and vacations),
  • 29% are "some-timers" using the RV less than 10 times a per
  • 24% are full-timers, and 14% use it for transportation (and lodging) for sports activities and family gatherings.
  • 6% of you are in the process of transitioning to full-time.

In the past, how likely were you to book your campground reservations in advance?

35% said you ALWAYS booked your campground reservations in advance, 25% “Most of the time,” 19% “It depends on where you're going,” and 18% “Rarely,”

Based on what you are hearing, will you book your campground reservations differently in 2021 (assuming you weren’t an “always book” kind of camper)?

Not quite half of you—48% are more likely to make a reservation in 2021, while 35% will stick to your usual style, and only 17% “Don't know yet.”

How concerned are you about campground availability in 2021?

60% of respondents said they were concerned. 25% were neutral—taking that “wait and see” approach. And 14% said, “we always find a place—not concerned.”

The most encouraging answer?

97% of respondents said “YES, we’re going camping this year.” RVing is the way to go. (But we knew that, right?)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
