Bob Wells joins the RVillage Spirit of the Road Rally, February 2020 in Live Oak, Florida
Can't attend the RTR in Arizona this year? Come join Bob Wells and other Rubber Tramp Rendezvous nomadic friends in Live Oak Florida at the RVillage Spirit of the Road Rally!
Experiencing FOMO for the RTR?
FOMO = Fear Of Missing Out. Are you wintering east of the Mississippi and wishing you were at the RTR this year? You can have the next best thing — Bob Wells will be delivering a Master Class at the RVillage Spirit of the Road Rally in February. Come hear him speak about what he knows best: "The Philosophy of Nomadic Living." Bob is the founder of Cheap RV Living and the RTR (Rubber Tramp Rendezvous), and co-founder of the non-profit organization Homes on Wheels Alliance. He will be sharing some of his wealth of knowledge about living and thriving on the road.
Please note: While the RTR is a free event, we also know there are many nomadic souls who are east of the Mississippi and will not be able to attend that event. Although there is a cost for coming to the RVillage Spirit of the Road gathering, this is a GREAT opportunity to have community, awesome entertainment, Bob Wells, and what we think is a good next-best-thing. We are VERY honored and fortunate that Bob is travelling all the way to Florida to be a part of this event. As you know, this a is a rare occurrence, and we hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to join all of us in February at the RVillage Spirit of the Road Rally in Live Oak, Florida. There are PLENTY of boondocking and dry camping sites available. You can also camp off-site and get a Day Pass or All Access Pass and join the fun. Purchase tickets here.
There are TONS of learning opportunities at the RallyNot only do we have Bob Wells speaking about the lifestyle — we also have Marianne Edwards, co-founder of Boondockers Welcome, sharing her tips for free & frugal camping; Mike Sokol teaching a 3-part Master Class series on RV electricity, and The RVgeeks will join Mortons on the Move leading a discussion on RV Solar & Battery Systems. Plus up to EIGHT other engaging seminars every day — on everything from Instant Pots to insurance, legal help, how to use Google photos, camping at COE (Core of Engineers) campgrounds and much, much more!
World class entertainment at the Rally
Tracy Grammer in Concert
We are honored and deeply privileged to have Tracy Grammer grace us with her soulful voice and music on Valentine's Day — a musical experience you will not soon forget. Tracy is one of contemporary folk music's most beloved artists. She rose to critical acclaim as half of the "postmodern, mythic American folk duo," Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer. As one notable fan puts it, "With Tracy, it's never just about the music — it's a soul journey."Charlie Blackcat Smith and his Firebirds
The belle of the ball is our dear artist friend Charlie Blackcat Smith & his Firebirds, exquisite works of art: hand-forged steel sculptures that are filled with wood and fired up at dusk...every night. These huge glowing creatures bring the gift of an acre of warmth, and an inviting place for all of us to gather every night. A truly magical experience.Music and dancing every night!
Also on the music repertoire are Todd Kimbro, Remedy Tree, Kyle of Drivin' & Vibin,' and Anthony Nalli — producer of the RVers TV show, with his band Wicked Truth, who will get you dancing on Valentines day.
